Position Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented professional with experience supporting complex grant activities. Ideal candidates have a proven ability to manage multiple grants simultaneously with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. A strong understanding of governmental accounting, program budgeting, personnel administration, statistics, and procurement is highly valued. Experience with Amplifund or comparable grant management software is also preferred. This role is well‑suited for individuals who thrive in structured environments and are committed to maintaining high standards in grant management and compliance.

Essential Functions

  • Under direction of the Older American Services Program Manager, determines cash needs based on grant obligation and administrative needs for Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) to accurately analyze monthly Cash Requests.
  • Collects, compiles, and enters financial information into computerized spreadsheets, including Excel, and other database programs to increase the efficiency by which information is retrieved.
  • Analyzes and tracks programmatic outcomes.
  • Develops, prepares, reviews, and compiles specific data for performance reporting for Federal and State funded programs.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration.
  • Requires one year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program.

Specialized Skills

  • Requires one (1) year of experience conducting grant management.
  • Requires one (1) year of experience performing advanced functions in MS Excel such as VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX + MATCH, pivot tables, power queries, macros, or VBA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefers one year of experience managing multiple grants simultaneously with an error rate less than 1%.
  • Prefers one year of experience conducting advanced features in MS Excel or similar software such as VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX + MATCH, Pivot Tables, Power Queries, Macros, or VBA.
  • Prefers two years of experience demonstrating knowledge of the principles of governmental accounting, program budgeting, personnel, statistics, and procurement.
  • Prefers previous or current use of Amplifund or equivalent grant management software.

Conditions of Employment

  • Requires the ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be requested or required/mandated to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime. This may require the ability to work evenings and weekends.
