POSITION SUMMARY

Central Management Services Human Resources Office is seeking to hire a Human Resources Associate to serve as the front desk receptionist and as a member of the Hiring and Selection staff. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, have great attention to detail, the ability to think critically, and an advanced proficiency in operating Human Resources computer software systems. This person will learn all aspects of hiring and selection as well. This is a great opportunity to anyone that is looking to start their career in Human Resources! POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Under general direction of the Hiring & Selection Manager, performs a variety of specialized paraprofessional human resources assignments for the Central Management Services (CMS) Human Resources Office and its staff. 
  • Aides the Hiring & Selection staff with maintaining the CMS job posting system.
  • Prepares and maintains a variety of records for the CMS Human Resources Director.
  • Serves as the Onboarding and Offboarding liaison for the Human Resources Office.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of those duties listed above.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two years of college or satisfactory completion of an approved training program.
  • Requires skill in keyboarding accurately at 30 wpm.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prefers extensive knowledge of office practices and procedures.
  • Prefers extensive knowledge of composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Prefers working knowledge of human resources programs, rules, and regulations.
  • Prefers working knowledge of hiring practices and procedures.
  • Prefers working knowledge of performing routine maintenance on Xerox multifunction devices for printing, coping, and faxing documents.
  • Prefers working knowledge of timekeeping processes, procedures, and timekeeping systems.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history.
  • Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be requested or required/mandated to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime. This may require the ability to work evenings and weekends.
