Position Overview
Under general direction, performs the full range of highly responsible, complex and specialized duties relating to Human Resources (HR) Employment functions for the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (DFPR). Conducts all aspects of the interview process. Provides journey level advice and recommendations to agency management/supervisors. Performs all aspects of the employment process, including posting, bidding, job notifications, hiring, reference checks, and Recall Lists. Serves as lead worker. Cross trains and provides backup to other areas in Human Resources to ensure HR functions are performed consistently, primarily for the Department’s classification program. Prepares, maintains, and stores a variety of HR records and files.

Essential Functions
- Conducts all aspects of the interview process.
- Provides journey level advice and recommendations to agency management/supervisors, HR staff and others regarding employment related inquiries, i.e. exempt positions, 4d(3) exempt positions, hiring and interview questions inherent to established policy, procedures, and laws.
- Performs all aspects of the employment process, including posting, bidding, job notifications, hiring, reference checks, and Recall Lists.
- Serves as lead worker.
- Cross trains and provides backup to other areas in Human Resources to ensure HR functions are performed consistently, primarily for the Department’s classification program.
- Prepares, maintains, and stores a variety of HR records and files.
- Performs other duties as requires or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerate above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college.
- Requires two years of professional human resources experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers at least two years of experience in the employment hiring process, including preparing, conducting, and documenting job interviews.
- Prefers at least two years of experience serving as a panel member in the interview process.
- Prefers at least two years of experience utilizing human resources software to coordinate the hiring process, including reviewing and scoring applicant resumes, sending interview invitations, sending regret letters, etc.
- Prefers at least two years of experience compiling bid records based on collective bargaining agreements.
- Prefers at least one year of experience creating and posting job vacancies utilizing human resources software.
