Position Overview

The Department of Military Affairs is looking for a Guest Service Manager located at Camp Lincoln in Springfield, IL.  This position performs a variety of front desk duties that includes checking guests in and out of their rooms.  The Department of Military Affairs works with the members of the Illinois Air and Army National Guard.  We welcome all interested applicants to apply.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure front desk area and lobby remains clean.  
  • Registers and assigns rooms to guests, make and issue room keys, and may escort guests to rooms as needed.
  • Ensures that only authorized patrons use government sponsored quarters.
  • Calculates and posts charges to a patron’s account and balances totals with control records.  
  • Maintains current check out list.  
  • Prints back up reports from property management system.
  • Ensure front desk area and lobby remains clean.  
  • Ensures housekeeping status of rooms is updated.  
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates are preferred to have two years’ experience or education with computer software, hardware and AV equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accurately maintains and updates guest room assignments, checkout lists and patron accounts to enable quick and efficient retrieval of information.
  • Maintains professional customer service.
  • Promptly and courteously receives, greets and answers questions from visitors and telephone callers.
  • Accurately registers guests ensuring compliance with established patron eligibility criteria.
  • Accurately prepares reports according to regulations or established deadlines.
  • Ensures compliance with all established safety policies, security policies and regulations.

  • Requires ability to pass background check.
