Position Overview
The Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) is the state’s lead agency serving people with disabilities committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and racial justice. The mission of the Division is to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving their goals of employment, education, and independent living. This position Bureau of Home and Community Based Supports Illinois Medicaid Program Advanced Cloud Technology (IMPACT) Enrollment Specialist monitoring correspondence and information related to enrollment and revalidation of Individual Providers in the Home Services Program. The Division of Rehabilitation Services is seeking to hire a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills.
Essential Functions
- Serves as the Bureau of Home and Community Based Supports Illinois Medicaid Program Advanced Cloud Technology (IMPACT) Enrollment Specialist working with Individual Providers in the Home Services Program (HSP).
- Researches and identifies entry problems associated with individual and agency providers’ applications and modifications related to IMPACT and Medicaid Management Information System (Legacy MMIS).
- Responds to inquiries from Home Service provider, customer and field staff, via phone, email, presentation or via word-processed letter as appropriate, concerning provider enrollment/revalidation and assessment policies and procedures.
- Conducts special projects, research studies and completes documentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to two (2) years of secretarial/business college and one (1) year of office experience OR completion of high school and three (3) years office experience OR three (3) years of independent business experience.
- Requires the ability to keyboard accurately at 55 wpm.
*Qualifying state employees, in the employee Upward Mobility Program, may complete combinations of specific proficiency tests and training programs leading to a certificate of proficiency in lieu of the stated requirements for this classification.
Conditions of Employment
- Requires ability to travel.
- Requires ability to utilize software programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Access and Word to communicate in written form, prepare correspondence and develop spreadsheets.
