Position Overview

Under general supervision of the integrated Eligibility Systems (IES) Eligibility Support Unit Supervisor, performs intermediate level applications programming; meets with users to determine technical needs; converts needs to system and task flows; performs intermediate level application development tasks. Travels in performance of duties.

Job Responsibilities

1.   Performs intermediate level applications programming.

 

2.   Meets with users to determine technical needs.

 

3.   Performs intermediate level application development tasks.

 

4.   Documents data, system, program flows and production information as directed. Conducts program tests and evaluates results as directed.

 

5.   Attends additional formal and informal training to develop the knowledge and technical computer skills required for this position; travels when held offsite.

 

6.   Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of two years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields supplemented by one year of related Information Technology experience.

 

Specialized Skills: Of the one year of related Information Technology experience, requires one year of experience in Java based web development and DB2. Requires working knowledge of rational application developer (RAD) or Eclipse and WebSphere.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Requires working knowledge of hardware and software, languages and procedures to provide assigned technical and analytical services.
  • Prefers professional work experience using Adobe Livecycle and WebSphere.

  1. Requires a valid driver's license and the ability to travel.
