Position overview: 

The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Bureau of All Kids is seeking to hire an individual to work in a dynamic problem-solving environment as an Information System Analyst I. This position provides advanced technical support to end users resolving routine equipment and software problems; develops training manuals; serves as the liaison for PC/LAN updates and changes; implements and updates the LAN Security System for the All Kids Program.

The ideal candidate will be organized, detail oriented with strong communication skills and knowledge of Information Technology concepts and principles, functions of computer systems and the principles and techniques of Information Technology.

Essential Functions

  • Under general direction, provides advanced technical support to end users packaged software and automated equipment
  • Resolves routine Local Area Network (LAN) equipment and software problems
  • Develops training manuals
  • Serves as liaison for PC/LAN updates and changes
  • Implements and updates the LAN Security System for All Kids Programs to ensure only authorized employees have access to network
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields and requires one (1) year of professional experience in a related Information Technology field

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year of professional experience working with Information Technology concepts and principles, the theories andfunctions of computer systems and the principles and techniques of Information Technology documentation
  • One (1) year of professional experience with hardware and software, languages, and procedures to provide assigned technical and analytical services for problem resolution to users
  • One (1) year of professional experience administrating various software servers such as: Microsoft Windows Servers and Active Directory environment and working knowledge of a Microsoft file structure including security groups and permissions
  • One (1) year of professional experience with systems such as Citrix, SharePoint, Integrated Eligibility System (IES) and Medical Management Information Systems (MMIS)
  • One (1) year of professional experience using written communication skills to present information to others with clarity and precision
  • One (1) year of professional experience with methods, procedures and techniques of conducting feasibility studies for system conversions and enhancements
