The Department of Healthcare and Family Services Bureau of Information Security is seeking to hire skilled IT professionals to join our team supporting the Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT). The DoIT Team at HFS is leading a transformation to modernize the way citizens interact with the State of Illinois agency responsible for providing a wide variety of healthcare and family services/benefits to Illinois residents. This position is in the Security Support Unit, which oversees the day to day management of agency access to multiple systems including the mainframe. The ideal candidate will have experience with Information Security, RACF support, and NIST/FISMA/Risk Management Framework. Job Responsibilities
- Conducts complex, professional, and advisory functions to support the Agency's RACF security system
- Reviews and enforces the Agency's security standards and policies
- Works with LAN Coordinators to address user problems and questions
- Serves as a liaison with HFS business units and DoIT
- Conducts system reviews to ensure Agency security standards and policies are being met using the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)/Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA)/Risk Management Framework
- Travels to attend training classes, seminars, and conferences to keep abreast of advancement in hardware and software technology
- Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to four years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields, supplemented by three years of professional experience in a related Information Technology field
Specialized Skills
- Of the three years experience required, requires one year of professional experience in information Security, RACF, Mainframe, Active Directory and NIST/FISMA/Risk Management Framework
Conditions of Employment

- Requires a valid driver's license and the ability travel
