Essential Functions

  • Under general direction, serves as an Imaging & Data Entry Analyst I for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), supporting the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDoR), providing a full range of information technology (IT) applications services, by coordinating and conducting difficult and specialized application development for systems or sub-systems.
  • Performs business process analysis, design, modeling, and reengineering.  
  • Serves as a project coordinator for standard projects including small and medium size hardware and software deployments and installations.
  • Assists higher level analysts with scheduled and remedial maintenance to application services.
  • Keeps abreast of new developments in the information technology field by continuing education through meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields. 
  • Requires one (1) year of professional experience in Application Services or a related Information Technology field.

Specialized Skills

  • Requires one (1) year professional experience utilizing .NET, C sharp, visual studio, HTML, PowerShell, SQL, and Crystal reports.
  • Requires one (1) year of experience with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Waterfall or Agile. 
  • Requires one (1) year of experience with business process analysis, design, modeling, reengineering.
  • Requires one (1) year of professional experience leading projects in an Information Technology environment.  

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year professional experience utilizing .NET, C sharp, visual studio, HTML, PowerShell, SQL, and Crystal reports.
  • One (1) year of experience with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Waterfall or Agile.
  • One (1) year of experience with business process analysis, design, modeling, reengineering.
  • One (1) year of professional experience leading projects in an Information Technology environment.
  • Ability to translate business use cases, into functional and technical requirements. 
  • Working knowledge of the methods, procedures, and techniques of conducting feasibility studies for system conversions and enhancements.  
  • Ability to analyze data logically and exercise sound judgement in defining and evaluating problems of an operational or procedural nature.
  • Ability to gain and maintain effective working relationships with associates, vendors, clients, and others.
  • Developed verbal and written communication skills to present technical information to others with clarity and precision.
