Essential Functions
- Performs a variety of routine labor tasks to assist skilled trade staff including but not limited to carpenters, electricians, engineers, plumbers, contractual staff, etc.
- Lift and loads equipment and furniture weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Assist in performing various maintenance tasks.
- Performs basic upkeep and maintenance duties for skilled tradesmen's work areas before and after completion of jobs.
- Performs other duties as required for assigned which are within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school.
Conditions of Employment
- Requires completion of a name-based background screening and self-disclosure of criminal history.
- Requires the ability to successfully pass a preemployment physical.
- Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties. Requires appropriate, valid driver’s license.
- Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be requested or required/mandated to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime. This requires the ability to work evenings and weekends.
- This position is considered very heavy work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(e)). Very Heavy work involves lifting objects weighing more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
- Must have the ability to walk and climb hills, stairs and ladders.
