Position Overview
Under direction of the Division Chief, performs a variety of difficult and responsible clerical functions for the Division of Hearing Review. Provides administrative support for Division Administrative Law Judges, in coordination with the Division's Office Coordinator. Oversees involuntary transfer and discharge (ITDs) cases, making sure that all pertinent information is provided by the parties. Maintains and updates as necessary, the Division's SharePoint database for ITDs. Serves as receptionist; responds to inquiries of a non-technical nature in person or by phone; maintains specialized files.

Essential Functions
- Keyboards pertinent information into legal templates to parties in pending litigation cases including notices, continuances, motion rulings, proofs of service and routing information for final order signature.
- Maintains the data system used by ALJs and administrative staff for tracking all nursing home involuntary transfer and discharge (ITD) cases from start to closing, such as letters, request, motions, dismissals and stipulations and final orders.
- Provides clerical support for ALJ staff by replying to various outside requests, certifies documents signed by others with notary public seal.
- Serves as receptionist, answers phones, takes messages, transfers calls to appropriate party and provides directions to locations or offices.
- Provides processing and maintains control of records of complaints and orders.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two years of office experience.
- Requires the ability to keyboard accurately at 45 words per minute.
