Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Agriculture’s Division of Cannabis Regulation is growing and seeks qualified candidates to ensure the success of this developing area. The Office Coordinator, Opt. 2 within the Bureau of Licensing and Administration will assist the Hemp Manager and will be responsible for the monitoring and controlling of inspection and sampling documents, will determine office procedures and methods and will verify that reports are submitted according to state and federal policy and procedures, federal and state laws (Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act (410 ILCS 705/), Industrial Hemp Act (505 ILCS 89/), the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Act (405 ILCS 130/), and the Community College Cannabis Vocational Pilot Program (410 ILCS 705/25-1) and USDA guidelines.
Job Responsibilities
- Assists in monitoring and controlling inspection and sampling documents for unit.
- Verifies that reports are submitted according to state and federal policy and procedures, federal and state laws, and USDA guidelines.
- Prepares complex statistical reports and charts.
- Determines office procedures and methods.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
