ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Office of Inspector General, is seeking an energetic clerical support to join our staff in providing office support for the Bureau of Medicaid Integrity in administrative matters. This ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work cohesively with internal and external agency staff, and the public and possess strong organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will also exhibit the ability to prioritize tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion of work and achieve set goals while demonstrating independent initiative.

Job Responsibilities

30%  Implements various technical computer tasks associated with the completion of the federally mandated quality control reviews.

25%  Certifies the integrity of the reviews by gathering information from various computer applications, editing, scanning, merging, sorting and assigning cases accurately and timely.

20%  Compiles complex spreadsheets and report applications utilizing various computer applications.

15%  Provides technical support to various Bureaus throughout the office by copying, scanning, editing and correcting administrative assignments.

5%    Receives approved timesheets from system.

5%    Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to two years of secretarial/business college; OR
  • Completion of high school and two years of related office experience and two years of independent business experience.
  • Requires ability to type accurately at a rate of 30 words per minute.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Requires extensive knowlege of office practices, procedures and programs.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
