Position Overview
The Department of Human Services is seeking to hire an office coordinator for the Overpayment Review – Account Support unit who will serve as a designated lead worker to lower-level staff. This position will analyze daily Accounts Receivable System report for central and local office data entry of SNAP and grant overpayments that reflect an error and works independently to research and reclassify SNAP Client Error claims to Intentional Program Violation (IPV) claims on the Accounts Receivable System. The office coordinator will utilize a personal computer, keyboard a variety of difficult and complex materials from rough draft or handwritten hard copy which contain legal terminology such as memos, client responses, tabular statements, statistical reports, etc. which involves formatting the production of reports, rules, etc. and independently takes phone calls from clients on Department of Employment Security Over Payments System (DESOPS) cases to assist in resolving claim issues.
Job Responsibilities

Reviews and analyzes daily Accounts Receivable System report for central and local office data entry of SNAP and grant overpayments that reflect an error.

Works independently to research and reclassify SNAP Client Error claims to Intentional Program Violation (IPV) claims on the Accounts Receivable System.

Serves as designated lead worker to lower-level staff.

Independently takes phone calls from clients on Department of Employment Security Over Payments System (DESOPS) cases to assist in resolving claim issues.

Utilizing a personal computer, keyboards a variety of difficult and complex materials from rough draft or handwritten hard copy which contain legal terminology such as memos. client responses, tabular statements, statistical reports, etc. which involves formatting the production of reports, rules, etc.

Researches collection cases and prepares summary packets for special projects such as referral of potentially eligible claims to the Treasury Offset Program used to collect delinquent debts.

Prepares detailed monthly and special reports of activities; both statistical and narrative summaries, for work performed including support staff, relative to the Unit's activities of SNAP and grant disqualifications and repayments.

Performs other duties that are assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to two (2) years of secretarial/business college or completion of high school.

Requires two (2) years of related office experience, or two (2) years of independent business experience.

Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 30 wpm.
Work Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday
