The Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) is seeking a high-performing individual to serve as an Office Coordinator Option 2 within the Division of Finance & Audit.  The primary functions for this position include providing complex/specialized office support, serving as the Records Retention Officer for the Board, and assisting with technology service requests, and property control.

OFFICE COORDINATOR, OPTION 2

Essential Functions

  • Provides complex/specialized office support to the Finance and Audit Division managers and staff.
  • Responsible for requesting, tracking and organizing a variety of documents to support the Division.
  • Prepares and types a variety of technical reports and other information for the Division.
  • Responds to telephone and email inquiries of a non-technical nature.
  • Serves as liaison to Property Control Officer.
  • Serves as Record Retention Officer for the Division.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to two (2) years of secretarial/business college OR
  • completion of high school and two (2) years of related office experience OR two (2) years of independent business experience.
  • Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 30 WPM.

Conditions of Employment

  1. Pass Illinois Gaming Board’s background investigation (background check).
  2. Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be requested or required to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime. This requires the ability to work evenings and weekends.
  3. Must comply with the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act: No State employee who works for the Illinois Gaming Board, or spouse or immediate family member living with such person shall, during State employment, hold an ownership interest, other than a passive interest in a publicly traded company, in any gaming license under the Illinois Gambling Act, the Video Gaming Act, the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975, or the Sports Wagering Act.
  4. Must comply with the Illinois Gambling Act: No person shall be employed to serve the Board who is, or whose spouse, parent or child is, an official of, or has a financial interest in or financial relation with, any operator engaged in gambling operations within this State, or any organization engaged in conducting horse racing within this State.
  5. Must comply with the Illinois Gambling Act: For the one year immediately preceding employment, an employee shall not have been employed or received compensation or fees for services from a person or entity, or its parent or affiliate, that has engaged in business with the Board, a licensee, or a licensee under the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975.
