Essential Functions

⦁    Under general direction, serves as the Output Services Support Supervisor managing, directing, organizing, and evaluating the operations of Output Services for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), developing internal controls, procedures, and standards for evaluating production standards.
⦁    Manages and directs technical staff and monitors activities to ensure daily batch processing schedules are completed accurately and timely over various platforms using extensive knowledge of Job Control Language (JCL) TSO and ISPF automated job scheduler software (such as but not limited to CA-Scheduler or Zeke) and available software applications and system command structures such as, but not limited to Cornerstone, JES2, SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
⦁    Serves as working supervisor.
⦁    In conjunction with the Enterprise Production Services (EPOS) Input/Output/Production Control Manager develops and implements projects to enhance unit service capabilities using documentation, spreadsheets, and other tools such as Portal, Teams, and SharePoint.
⦁    Monitors section activities to ensure Department work rules, procedures and security measures are followed at all times.
⦁    Keeps abreast of new developments in the Data Processing/Information Technology field by continuing education through meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
⦁    Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college preferably with coursework in Management Information Systems, Data Processing, Telecommunications or directly related fields.  
  • Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in management information systems, data processing or telecommunications in a public or business organization. 
     

Specialized Skills

  •  Requires three (3) years of professional experience managing, directing, organizing and evaluating the operations of an output services or data processing unit. 
  •  Requires three (3) years of professional experience developing internal controls, procedures, and standards for evaluating production standards.
  •  Requires three (3) years of professional experience overseeing or working with an IT related Helpdesk and related ticketing system.
  •  Requires three (3) years of professional experience with Mainframe environments utilizing Job Control Language (JCL), TSO and ISPF automated job scheduler software (such as but not limited to CA-Scheduler or Zeke). 
     

Preferred Qualifications

⦁    Three (3) years of professional experience managing, directing, organizing and evaluating the operations of an output services or data processing unit. 
⦁    Three (3) years of professional experience developing internal controls, procedures, and standards for evaluating production standards.
⦁    Three (3) years of professional experience overseeing or working with an IT related Helpdesk and related ticketing system.
⦁    Three (3) years of professional experience with Mainframe environments utilizing Job Control Language (JCL), TSO and ISPF automated job scheduler software (such as but not limited to CA-Scheduler or Zeke). 
⦁    Three (3) years of professional experience with Service Now or other IT Service Management tools to process daily incidents and requests for IT services.
⦁    Three (3) years of professional experience writing complex procedures, directives, or instructions in a complete and concise manner.
⦁    Extensive knowledge of a multi-platform system operation.
⦁    Developed verbal and written communication skills to present training and guidance to others with clarity and precision.
⦁    Ability to create and manage employee schedules, including overtime and time-off to ensure necessary coverage.
⦁    Ability to gain and maintain effective working relationships with associates, clients and others
