Position Overview:
This position is accountable for accomplishing classification, analysis, and documentation accountabilities in support of departmental operations. This position reviews and maintains current position descriptions for the department to ensure an accurate representation of the organizational structure. This position utilizes technical writing in the development and editing of position descriptions. This position also serves as a liaison to departmental staff on administrative functions performed in the Organization and Classification Unit.

Essential Functions
- Serves as a liaison with departmental staff regarding Organizational Analysis and Compensation Section policies and procedures.
- Reviews and processes all classification transactions in a timely manner to ensure accuracy and completeness in accordance with departmental procedures and maintains historical documentation for classification actions.
- Reviews documents for accuracy, grammar, format, completeness, and edits accordingly, and forwards for processing after final approval.
- Reviews organizational changes to ensure an accurate representation of the organizational structure and to ensure proper allocation of positions.
- Assists with electronic posting issues related to job descriptions.
- Maintains accurate departmental classification information in the Human Resource Information (HRI) system and the Human Capital Management (HCM) system and assists in the implementation of HRI automation changes as needed.
- Maintains an electronic site for job descriptions as well as a physical file record.
- Develops and maintains departmental organizational charts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of a bachelor's degree majoring in human resources management, organizational leadership, business, English, or a related field; OR completion of two years of college PLUS two years of experience working in human resources reviewing confidential information, writing technical documentation, editing, or a combination thereof; OR six years of experience working in human resources reviewing confidential information, writing technical documentation, editing, or a combination thereof.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SharePoint.
- Working knowledge of organizational concepts.
- Ability to organize and handle multiple functions within given time constraints.
