Essential Function
- Serves as Post-Secondary Coordinator for an assigned region or regions
- Serves as Contract Monitor for the Categorical/Grant Program serving youth in vocational and post-secondary programs for assigned regions to ensure the provision of quality services.
- Serves as a point of contact and subject matter expert for vocational and post-secondary education services and supports
- Plans, develops, and administers public education, both internally and externally, on the services and supports for youth seeking post-secondary opportunities.
- Supports the administration of federally funded programs, including Chafee, and Education and Training Voucher (ETV) programs
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires an MSW or master's degree in a related human services field.
- Requires three years of administrative child welfare experience with an MSW or four years of administrative child welfare experience with a master's degree in a related human services field.
Conditions of Employment
- Requires ability to pass a background check.
- Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties. Requires appropriate, valid driver's license.
- This position has been found to meet the requirements in section 4A-101 of the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act requiring
the occupant/employee to file a Statement of Economic Interest. The Illinois Governmental Ethics Act (5 ILCS 420/4A et seq.) requires certain state officials and employees to file annual Statements of Economic Interest with the Office of the Secretary of State that will be made available for examination and copying by the public. All employees required to file a Statement of Economic Interest are also required to file the Supplemental Statement of Economic Interest with the Executive Ethics Commission.
