JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Department of Healthcare and Family Services is seeking to hire a motivated individual to serve as a Public Aid Lead Casework Specialist assigned to the Bureau of All Kids. Under the general direction from the KidCare Supervisor, this position will function as a lead worker to a team of casework staff in the Bureau of All Kids. This position serves a functional resource to less experience caseworkers and provides on-the-job training for new staff.
The ideal individual will have the ability to speak and write English and Spanish at a colloquial skill level and possess strong organizational, communication skills., excellent team leadership skills, ability to thrive in a high volume and fast paced environment and demonstrate the ability to collaborate with team members to ensure operations are running effectively.

Job Description
- Under general direction, serves as lead worker to a team of casework staff
- Serves as functional resource person for team casework staff
- Manages a caseload
- Identifies training needs and conducts on-the-job training for assigned staff
- Translates functions, policies, and procedures into Spanish for individuals who cannot speak or read English
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with emphasis on the behavioral sciences and two (2) years suitable professional casework experience in a social service agency; or one (1) year of agency casework experience; or any combination of equivalent training and experience
- Requires ability to speak and write Spanish at a colloquial skill level
