Position Overview
The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is seeking to hire a Resource Coordinator operating within the Children’s Behavioral Health Care Portal. This position performs complex monitoring activities for youth, families and other stakeholders seeking information within the portal; monitors portal requests and provides information when available or makes referral to the Clinical Specialist; maintains CQI data. Researches mental health and social services available in the community to provide resources to individuals making requests through the portal.
Essential Functions
- Serves as a Resource Coordinator for the Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery.
- Utilizes continuous quality improvement activities to report on dashboard outcome measures.
- Researches, develops, and analyzes programs and services associated with less intensive service needs including but not limited to hotlines, warmlines, social service supports, resource directories, and community-based resources to ensure portal requests are resolved.
- Participates in weekly staffing with the interagency Children’s Behavioral Health Planning team.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of four (4) years of college.
- Requires two (2) years of professional experience in community organization, social service work or in program planning and development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of professional experience reviewing requests for services related to mental health, healthcare or social service needs, including, for example case management, care coordination, resource referral or helpline response.
- Two (2) years of professional experience participating in clinical staffing meetings, case presentations or utilization review processes.
- Two (2) years of professional experience researching, developing and analyzing programs and services including hotlines, social service reports, resource directories and community-based resources for a public or private organization.
- Two (2) years of professional experience incorporating feedback from service providers (external agencies) regarding consumers’ clinical needs and adjusting referrals accordingly to improve and increase access to community-based services and supports.
- Three (3) years of professional experience communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Three (3) years of experience utilizing software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc., relative to preparing reports.
