Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and energetic individual to serve as Clinical Program Specialist. Subject to management approval, this position will monitor, review, and evaluate
performance of DCFS and private agency staff, regional health service networks, etc. regarding various health status indicators. The position will identify problems and conceptualize and prepare analyses and recommendations for
remediation. The position will also perform activities designed to assist DCFS and private agency staff in improving regional compliance with Departmental health services rules and procedures and will collect and analyze data from various
internal and external sources regarding health care services in order to identify systemic issues with health care services. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is detail oriented and interested in playing a supporting role in

Job Responsibilities
- Monitors, reviews, and evaluates performance of DCFS and private agency staff's regional health service networks, etc. on various health status indicators
- Reviews and analyzes Administrative Case Review feedbacks for identified health issues and distributes them to appropriate staff for resolution
- Works collaboratively with regional health service networks and Departmental staff, serving as a resource in problem resolution and consultation in areas pertaining to policy, forms, and data
- Performs activities designed to assist DCFS and private agency staff in improving regional compliance with Departmental health services rules and procedures
- Collects and analyzes data from various internal and external sources regarding health care services in order to identify systematic issues with health care services
- In collaboration with assigned staff, reviews, conceptualizes, develops, and revises policies and procedures for the Department's health care, dental, and vision systems, and other health care issues and services
- Provides input and drafts for the development of appropriate training for staff and foster parents that is consistent with professionally recognized standards of care and treatment
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skills, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college and a related master's degree
- Requires two(2) years of progressively responsible professional experience in community organization, social service work, or in program planning and development
