POSITION SUMMARY

The Department of Central Management Services, Division of Vehicles is accepting applications to fill an Executive II position serving as a State-Wide Vehicle Acquisition Executive. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with the ability to resolve complex issues independently. This position functions within a team of administrators on the usage and non-usage fleet acquisitioning programs, coordinating, and executing the procurement of vehicles. POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Under general direction of management, functions within a team of administrators for the organization, planning, and execution of the statewide Vehicle Acquisition Programs.

  • Serves within a team of administrators for all state agency vehicle coordinators/vehicle buyers providing training on efficient fleet management principles, advising on policy and procedures, interpreting applicable state statutes and administrative rules to prepare their vehicle purchase requests.

  • In consensus with other team members, plans and executes all DOV responsibilities relative to the CMS Surplus Property iBid program to dispose of vehicles. 

  • In consensus with other team members, coordinates Auto Liability for drivers in the CMS fleet and Vehicle Acquisition Program as applicable involved in auto accidents. 

  • Creates and interprets Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, and Calendar work products used in daily division operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration.
  • Requires two years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.

PREFERRD QUALIFCATIONS

  • Prefers two (2) years of professional experience working with an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) fleet system, BidBuy, Systems Application Products (SAP), or comparable fleet management and procurement systems.
  • Prefers two (2) years of professional experience managing vehicle data and billing information.
  • Prefers two (2) years of professional experience meeting deadlines with a strong attention to detail, utilizing critical thinking skills, while prioritizing assignments, and bouncing between multiple projects.
  • Prefers working knowledge of Vehicles Services programs and the associated procurement standards and procedures.
  • Prefers professional experience with the principles of accounting, budgeting, statistics, creating and interpreting spreadsheets, Word documents, Access tables, reports, and procurement.
  • Prefers two (2) years of professional experience with exercising judgment and discretion in developing, implementing, and evaluating new and revised methods, procedures, performance standards, departmental policies and procedures.
  • Prefers one (1) year of professional experience developing and managing a supportive public or private sector program.
  • Prefers one (1) year of professional experience analyzing administrative problems and adopting an effective course of action.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS
