Position Overview

Under general supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, performs storekeeping and warehousing activities at the Harris Complex.  Assists with receipt and distribution of office furniture and equipment; handles supply orders within the Harris Complex; maintains inventory of required forms and office supplies; assists in periodic physical inventory at the Harris Complex.  

Job Responsibilities

25%   1.  Performs daily operation of storekeeping and warehouse activities at the Harris Complex.  Maintains receipt and distribution of office furniture and equipment, as well as, office materials and supplies, which includes lifting/moving up to 70lbs.  Inspects quantity and quality of materials received and reports any quantity or quality problems.

 

25%   2.  Monitors office supplies and forms to ensure adequate supplies on hand for daily office operations and timely processing and delivery of requests for supplies and forms within the Harris Complex. 

 

20%   3.  Maintains inventory of all required forms and office supplies.

 

10%   4.  Verifies or assists with periodic physical inventories at the Harris Complex supply/storeroom.

 

10%   5.  Oversees recycling efforts in coordination with the state’s I-Cycle Program.

 

  5%   6.  Maintains personal work area and common areas are picked up, clean and organized on a daily basis.

 

  5%   7.  Performs other duties as assigned which are within the scope of duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years high school. 
  2. Requires one-year experience in the keeping of stores and stores records. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Requires working knowledge of warehouse methods and procedures.

Employment Conditions

  • Requires the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. 

Work Hours:  8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday
