Position Overview:
The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Division of Child Support Services is seeking to hire a highly qualified and motivated professional to join our Technical Support Team in the role of Technical Support Analyst. This position will conduct research projects to analyze the efficiency of the Division’s child support system The position will also work with management and staff to assist in determining the need for proposed changes to the system.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills to be successful in performing the operations of the Technical Support team, implementing systems for improvement/enhancements.

Essential Functions
- Serves as a Technical Support Analyst in conducting various research projects to analyze the efficiency of the Statewide Child Support System's ability to process various functions related to the agency's Child Support Services (CSS) program needs
- Confers with management to assist in determining the need for proposed changes
- Evaluates test production material to assist in determining the need for additional changes
- Confers with professional and clerical staff to explain new system enhancements
- Develops and maintains a working relationship with all Division of CSS bureaus to coordinate the implementation of the Statewide Child Support System
- Develops, organizes, and conducts on-site training for system users
- Develops and maintains a working relationship with all Division of Child Support bureaus
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, supplemented by a master's degree in business or public administration, with coursework in areas such as economic theory, accounting and finance, organizational theory, and operations research
- Requires one (1) year progressively responsible professional experience in management operations analysis or the completion of an approved training program
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience working with electronic data processing operations
- One (1) year of experience analyzing problems and develop systems of action for a child support system
- One (1) year of experience working with staff and management professionals in planning and developing assignments and conducting management evaluation studies
- One (1) year of experience utilizing the concepts and techniques of operations research in developing research projects
- One (1) year of experience conducting training preferably addressing system updates

- Requires the ability to pass a national background check prior to employment due to accessing confidential federal tax information
- Requires the ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptop
- Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate
