Position Overview
The Division of Family and Community Services is seeking to hire a position to serve as the Bureau Training and Resource Development Specialist in the Bureau of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault & Human Trafficking Planning and Support Unit. This position provides input into and support of the Bureau’s grant award programs service delivery systems requiring technical expertise; serves as Bureau Training and Technical Assistance Specialist and designs and presents training and technical assistance model to the Planning Unit to support the Bureau’s grant award programs service delivery systems; represents the Bureau on Family and Community Services (FCS) workgroups, DHS committees and external projects; and executes special assignments including preparation of grant applications, briefings, reports and issue papers.
Essential Functions
- Serves as the Training and Resource Development Specialist in the Planning and Support Unit and provides input into and support of the Bureau’s grant award programs service delivery systems requiring technical expertise.
- Serves as Bureau Training and Technical Assistance Specialist and designs and presents training and technical assistance model to the Planning Unit to support the Bureau’s grant award programs service delivery systems.
- Represents the Bureau on Family and Community Services (FCS) workgroups, DHS committees and external projects.
- Executes special assignments including preparation of grant applications, briefings, reports, and issue papers.
- Performs other duties as assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of master's degree.
- Requires two (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience in community organization, social service work or in program planning and development.
Specialized Skills
- Of the two (2) years of required experience, requires two (2) years of professional experience in clinical multi-disciplinary work, such as, counseling, clinical reviews, case consultations, or case management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of professional experience in clinical multi-disciplinary work, such as, counseling, clinical reviews, case consultations, or case management.
- Two (2) years of professional experience in development and delivery of training, including curriculum development, logistical event planning, and public speaking.
- Two (2) years of professional experience in providing technical assistance and developing resources and other supports to enhance service delivery.
- Two (2) years of professional experience in computer software such as PowerPoint, Word, Adobe, and Excel developing templates, slide shows and other resources or training materials.
- Two (2) years of professional experience performing highly technical and independent duties in the administration of grants programs, including design planning.
