Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is looking to hire an Executive 1 to act as Vehicle Liaison, Property Control Liaison and Telecommunications Liaison for the Office of Resource Conservation. This position will assist the ORC staff in obtaining efficient access to agency vehicles and telecommunication services, assist in maintaining proper documentation of specific fiscal invoices and property control matters. It will also coordinate with management the designation of staff offices and cubicles. We welcome interested applicants who would like to be part of this team to apply today.
Essential Functions
- Under direction, acts as Vehicle Liaison for Office of Resource Conservation; communicates guidance from the IDNR Vehicle Coordinator to ORC staff.
- Oversees WEX/Revolving Fund Payments for ORC; receives and processes WEX, State Garage Revolving Fund, and Facilities Revolving Fund invoices for payment.
- Acts as the Property Control Liaison for ORC; acts as custodian for the Operation Section’s property control account.
- Acts as Telecommunications Liaison for ORC; communicates guidance from the IDNR Telecommunications Coordinator to ORC staff.
- Acts as the Seating Chart Coordinator for ORC; coordinates designation of staff offices/cubicles with ORC management.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration.
- Requires one year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience working independently relating to vehicle fleet coordination.
- Two (2) years of experience demonstrating excellent organizational skills utilizing Microsoft Suite.
- Two (2) years of experience demonstrating excellent communication skills, with order requests, in both written and oral forms.
- Two (2) years of experience demonstrating excellent time management skills including deadline.
