This position serves as a Web Services DevOps Specialist I performing limited assignments in providing information technology services: In this role you will assist in the administrating, configuring, developing, testing, enhancing, maintaining, and support of environments/platforms/software/tools utilizing, but not limited to Adobe Experience Manger (AEM), Adobe Analytics, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Forms, Weglot, Elastic Search, SiteImprove, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Google Chatbots. In addition, you will assist experienced analysts in performing administration, configuration, development, maintenance and support of existing environments/platforms/software/tools assigned to the Web Services teams and assist higher-level professionals with administering, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining platforms/software/tools assigned to Web Services teams. Essential Functions
- Under immediate supervision, serves as a Web Services DevOps Specialist I for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) performing limited assignments in providing technology services.
- Assists experienced analysts in performing administration, configuration, development, maintenance and support of existing environments/platforms/software/tools assigned to the Web Services teams.
- Assists higher-level professionals with administering, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining platforms/software/tools assigned to Web Services teams.
- Assists in the configuration, testing, installation, documentation, and by maintaining system documentation and user instructions, including revisions and corrections.
- Keeps abreast of new developments in the Information Technology (IT) field by continuing education through attending meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and maintain current on IT products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two (2) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields.
Or
- Requires satisfactory completion of an agency sponsored training program.
Qualifying state employees in the Upward Mobility Program shall have the stated requirements of this classification waived by successful completion of specific proficiency tests and training programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Elementary knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
- Elementary knowledge of programming capabilities, HTML, Java, JavaScript, CSS, or XML
- Elementary knowledge of Visual Studio, Azure DevOps (ADO) or GitHub.
- Elementary knowledge of database application development, Microsoft SQL, or Microsoft SQL Reporting Services.
- Elementary knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager Administration or Adobe XD.
- Elementary knowledge of MS Office Suite, MS Project, or MS Visio.
