Essential Functions
- Subject to management approval, serves as the Webmaster for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), supporting the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDoR), coordinating and planning projects relative to IDoR goals and objectives designed to communicate and collect information using IDoR websites.
- Serves as a technology expert relative to architecture, trends, interpretation, and application of new and existing technology to current and future Internet/Intranet services.
- Serves as a project/team leader on highly complex projects while independently planning, developing, and implementing techniques for gathering and interpreting data.
- Serves as a working supervisor.
- Reviews operations, determines staffing requirements and makes recommendations to management on budget issues, policy, and procedures.
- Assists staff in the development and maintenance of information on department websites.
- Keeps abreast of new developments in the Information Technology field by continuing education through meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with coursework in management information systems, data processing, telecommunications, or directly related fields.
- Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in management information systems, data processing or telecommunications, in a public or business organization.
Specialized Skills
- Requires three (3) years of professional Webmaster experience in managing, maintaining, and recommending revisions to new and previously established websites/applications.
- Requires three (3) years of professional application development experience utilizing web development tools and methodologies such as AEM Content Management System, SharePoint, Sharegate, and AEM designer.
- Requires three (3) years of professional website/application development experience supervising a team of IT professionals.
- Requires three (3) years of professional experience conducting studies and research relative to architecture, trends, interpretation, and application of new and existing technology to current and future Internet/Intranet services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) years of professional webmaster experience in managing, maintaining, and recommending revisions to new and previously established websites/applications.
- Three (3) years of professional application development experience utilizing web development tools and methodologies such as AEM Content Management System, SharePoint, Sharegate, and AEM designer.
- Three (3) years of professional website/application development experience supervising a team of IT professionals.
- Three (3) years of professional experience conducting studies and research relative to architecture, trends, interpretation, and application of new and existing technology to current and future Internet/Intranet services.
- Three (3) years of professional experience leading multidisciplinary teams in projects management, with a focus in managing information systems, data processing, or telecommunications.
- Three (3) years of professional experience developing system project plans, setting target dates, and resource scheduling and objectives.
- Ability to analyze administrative problems and adopt an effective course of action.
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Ability to coordinate the activities of work associates to achieve desired results.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
