Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is pleased to announce an opening for a Quality Enhancement Supervisor at the Kiley Developmental Center in Waukegan, Illinois. The division is seeking to hire a dynamic, organized and detail-oriented individual who will organize, plan, execute and evaluate the facility’s Quality Enhancement Program (QEP). Develops quality enhancement plans with input from executive staff. Develops methods and systems, designs survey tools and evaluations to ensure recipients receive appropriate services and the facility remains in compliance with various accrediting agencies. The Kiley Developmental Center serves adults with developmental disabilities who have sever medical and/or behavioral needs.
Essential Functions

Serves as Quality Enhancement Supervisor.

Serves as a full-line supervisor.

Monitors QEP staff conducting quality assurance reviews.

Prepares facility accreditation/certification surveys.

Contacts information staff assisting in the creation of data reports.

Serves as a member of Executive Committee and statewide Quality Community Agency Program Committee and as Administrator on Duty (AOD).

Maintains Kiley Policy and Procedures Manual.
-
Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college with coursework in a social or human services.

Requires three (3) years progressively responsible administrative experience in a health or human services organization.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Two (2) years of professional experience in the development of quality enhancement programs for a public or private organization.
-
Two (2) years of professional experience directing staff engaged in conducting quality assurance reviews.
-
Two (2) years of professional experience preparing and gathering information for surveys.
-
Two (2) years of professional experience establishing quality enhancement goals and time frames.
-
Two (2) years of professional experience communicating with both internal and external stakeholders ensuring detailed and critical analysis of work performed.

Two (2) years of professional supervisory experience assigning work, providing guidance to subordinates, recommending counseling and/or discipline following collective bargaining agreements, training staff, preparing, and signing performance evaluations and approved time off.

Two (2) years of professional experience meeting deadlines with strong attention to detail and the ability to utilize critical thinking skills while multi-tasking multiple projects.

One (1) year of professional experience in public speaking to both small and large audiences.

Bachelor’s degree or higher.
